The Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas receives 10 sets of personal protective equipment (Barangay Packages) and 200 boxes of grocery packs (Household Packages) from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) as part of its CoVID-19 response project.
Several provincial candidates for the 2022 National and Local Elections joined the unity walk led by Benguet PPO, Benguet COMELEC, DILG-Benguet, and religious officials on Thursday morning, March 17. The unity walk was followed by the signing of integrity pledge as a commitment to safe, peaceful, and orderly May 9 elections.

Around 300 farmers in the province joined the 5th Benguet Farmers’ Congress conducted by the Provincial Government of Beguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas at the Benguet Sports Complex today, March 16, 2022. Major issues on the vegetable industry such as vegetable smuggling and situations of the fertilizer industry were discussed through an open forum panelled by Congresman Eric Go Yap, Governor Diclas, DA-CAR Regional Technical Director Dr. Danilo Daguio, and representatives from the La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post, Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center, Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority, and Agricultural Credit and Policy Council.
Governor Dr. Melchor DaguinesDiclas on Monday received plaques of recognition for the Province of Benguet for being the 10th Most Competitive Province and the 10th Most Improved Province based on the 2020 CMCI. The awards were handed over by DTI Provincial Director Atty. Samuel Gallardo at the Provincial Governor’s Office.
CMCI or Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index is a yearly ranking of cities and municipalities in the Philippines. This was developed by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs) with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development.

Two more organizations availed of the zero-interest livelihood loan assistance from the Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas. They are the Caliking Proper Multipurpose Cooperative and the Tabano Omang Livelihood Project Organization. Ms. Charibelle Pingawan won two gold medals in the recently concluded 2022 Cebu Open DanceSport Championship held in Lahug Cebu City last February 26-27.
Pingawan during her courtesy visit together with Provincial Sports Coordinator Mr. Denmark Monang expressed her sincerest gratitude to the Provicial government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas for their continued support for Benguet DanceSport Team during their dancesport competitions in 2021.
Benguet Dance Sport was also recognized by the Media and Sports Development body conferring them the award “2021 Sports Team of the Year”.
