PROV'L ROAD IN KAPANGAN IMPROVED FOR SAFER TRAVEL

Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas said the P5 million worth of improvement along Lomon-Paykek Provincial Road funded by the Provincial Government of Benguet has recently been completed.
 
Paykek barangay chairman Hon. Hanzel Manis said the project addresses problems drivers and commuters experience while traveling during heavy rains.
 
Manis thanked the Provincial LGU under the leadership of Gov. Diclas for funding and implementing the road improvement project as it will benefit over 350 families in Paykek as well as other nearby barangays such as Central, Kayapes, and Pudong.

The improved road has a total length of 286 meters which include widening and construction of slope protection on a 48-meter portion of the road.
 
The PLGU plans to improve more portions of the provincial road to provide safer and faster travel for locals especially farmers and patients needing medical care.

Baguio Benguet Medical Society (BBMS) donated several medical supplies to the Benguet Provincial Government

Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas and Dr. Ryan Guinaran, Executive Assistant to the Governor for Health and BBMS representative for Benguet, receive several medical supplies from the Baguio Benguet Medical Society (BBMS) turned over by BBMS president Dr. Hosanna Mae Fernandez-Pajela.
 
The said items include 35 pieces of BP App, 30 pieces of pulse oximeter, and 30 pieces of digital thermometer to be used at vaccination sites, and 8 sacks of rice to be used at Provincial Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs).
 
Governor Diclas thanked all the members of the BBMS for their donation as well as for their many contributions to the nation’s efforts against the CoVID-19 pandemic.

Ongoing P10M construction (Phase I) of the three-storey building at Kapangan District Hospital (KDH) in Central, Kapangan, Benguet

The ongoing P10M construction (Phase I) of the three-storey building at Kapangan District Hospital (KDH) in Central, Kapangan, Benguet funded by the Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas.
Governor Diclas said funds are already allocated for the next phase of the project as he continues to work up improvement projects for health facilities which is part of his HEALTHIER Benguet framework.
 
He also said he plans to include the provision of dialysis centers in all the district hospitals in the province so patients in distant municipalities won’t have to travel to Baguio City or La Trinidad to receive medical care.
 
 

Aside from KDH, the Atok District Hospital (ADH) and Northern Benguet District Hospital (NBDH) are also currently undergoing facility expansion with a mission to provide quality healthcare to the masses.

Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the service awardees at the Provincial Government of Benguet during the 2021 Civil Service Awards at the Provincial Capitol on Monday, November 22, 2021. Gov. Diclas thanked the government employees for their continued dedication and hardwork reflected in several awards the Provincial LGU received in the past years. He also encouraged them to continue their active and valuable service for the betterment of the Province of Benguet.

Improvement of Ekip Farm-to-Market Road

Isa sa mga prioridad nating proyekto ang pagpapabuti ng ating mga farm-to-market road (FMR) upang mas mapadali at mas mapabilis ang pagbiyahe ng ating mga magsasaka sa Benguet ng kanilang mga produkto sa pamilihan. Marami na rin tayong binuksang bagong FMR na sa ngayo’y nakakatulong hindi lang sa ating mga magsasaka kundi na rin sa mga residente lalo na sa pagbibiyahe ng pasyente sa ospital.
 
Ang pagpapabuti ng Ekip FMR na may 1.5 kilometrong haba ay pinapakinabangan ng higit 50 pamilya sa barangay Ekip.

Benguet is placed under Alert Level 2 from November 22-30, 2021. The five-tier alert level system ( level 5 with most restrictions) shifted the focus on granular lockdowns from the previous community-wide quarantine restrictions. The alert level system of an LGU is based on COVID 19 case transmission and health care utilization.

Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas and Congressman Eric Go Yap receive 15 Toyota Hi-Lux Mobile Patrol cars turned over to the Province of Benguet as part of the capability enhancement program of the PNP for calendar year 2021.
