Cooperative Development Authority Cordillera Administrative Region Office Director Marieta Hwang paid a courtesy visit to Govenor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas to strengthen partnership toward the government’s aim at ensuring productive operations of cooperatives.
The Month of October is declared as the National Cooperative Month where programs and activities will be conducted to promote the principles and values of cooperatives.

DepEd CAR awarded a plaque of appreciation to the Provincial Government of Benguet
The Department of Education Cordillera Administrative Region (DepEd CAR) headed by Regional Director Estela Cariño awarded a plaque of appreciation to the Provincial Government of Benguet headed by Governor Dr. Melchor Daguines Diclas for the LGU’s unwavering support and exemplary contribution for the cause of education specifically on the efficient implementation of distance learning in the province.
The plaque was handed over to Governor Diclas by Benguet Schools Division Superintendent Gloria Buya-ao and Ms. May Claire Jimenez of DepEd CAR during their courtesy visit to the governor on September 23, 2021.
The three discussed updates and other activities in DepEd as they strengthen their partnership toward the attainment of better education among students in the midst of the pandemic.
Earlier, Governor Diclas mentioned the procurement of P10M worth of tablets to help DepEd advance education despite the CoVID-19 crisis.
Last year, the Provincial LGU also procured photocopiers donated to the different municipalities to help the public schools in producing learning materials.

DICLAS Declares September 24 a Special Day for Teachers
Gov. Melchor Daguines Diclas thanks all the teachers who continue to advance education despite the challenges brought by the CoVID-19 pandemic.
With the present CoVID-19 situation in the province, teachers are encouraged to have a virtual program in celebration of Teacher’s Day.

Benguet PMFC said the couple, Lolo Tonino, 70, and Lola Maria, 60, have been living in a nipa hut for more than 50 years now. Farming is their source of living.
